About
TALES OF REBELS
A story of colour, print and individual style.
Founded in Copenhagen in 2011 by Camilla Nalu Heering, Tales of Rebels grew out of her professional background in styling and her passion for fashion and personal expression.
Formally trained as a style coach, Camilla has spent many years working as a stylist and giving talks on fashion, trends and personal style. Her approach has always been about helping women understand what works for them, develop their own sense of style and feel confident in what they wear.
For Camilla, fashion has never simply been about following trends. It is about individuality, colour, print and finding pieces that feel genuinely personal.
In 2014, Camilla moved to Dubai, where the brand found a new direction. Inspired by the women around her and the vibrant prints she discovered at local markets, she began creating abayas with her own tailors. What started as a personal idea soon became the foundation of Tales of Rebels.
Leopard print quickly became a signature and remains part of the brand’s identity today.
Over the years, the collection has evolved, but the philosophy remains the same: clothes should have personality. We believe in expressive prints, distinctive colours and pieces that can be worn and loved for years, rather than simply following the latest trends.
Our abayas and wrap skirts remain at the heart of the collection, alongside designs that reflect the influences, colours and experiences gathered along the way.
The journey has taken Camilla from Copenhagen to Dubai and Los Angeles, where she and her husband, Nikolai, ran a fashion concept store. Today, they live in Spain with their children, where Camilla continues to develop the collections in the brand’s own studio.
Tales of Rebels is for women who dress with instinct rather than instructions. Women who enjoy colour, embrace their individuality and believe personal style is about expressing who you are, not dressing like everyone else.
Not made to blend in. Made to be yourself.
Welcome to my world.
